STREAMING / MEDIA

Streaming where the bandwidth bill doesn't kill you.

3–10 Gbps dedicated NICs and up to 100 TB of free monthly egress. Run your own RTMP ingest, software transcoding ladder, or VOD origin — without watching cloud egress fees eat the entire margin on every stream.

Why bare metal

Where cloud egress fees stop being your business model.

01

100 TB included egress

Most plans include up to 100 TB free monthly outbound. That's roughly 47,000 viewer-hours of 5 Mbps streams per server. Cloud charges $9,000+ for the same egress.

02

Run any ingest stack

nginx-rtmp, SRS, OvenMediaEngine, MediaMTX, or your own. Full root access means you control codecs, transcoding ladders, and CDN integration without a managed-service abstraction in the way.

03

Software transcoding

32+ core EPYC platforms handle multi-bitrate ladders via ffmpeg / x264 / x265 in real time. No GPU required for the bitrates that actually matter to your audience.

Cloud video pricing is designed for tech demos, not for businesses serving real audiences.

Common questions

Answers before you ask.

How much bandwidth is included for streaming?
Most plans include up to 100 TB of free monthly outbound bandwidth (entry-level Xeon: 30 TB, Singapore: 20 TB). At average 5 Mbps streams, 100 TB serves roughly 47,000 viewer-hours per month per server.
Can I run my own RTMP/HLS ingest server?
Yes — install nginx-rtmp, SRS, OvenMediaEngine, or any custom ingest stack. Full root access means you control codecs, transcoding profiles, and CDN integration end to end.
Do you support live transcoding workloads?
On the higher-tier EPYC plans (32+ cores), software transcoding via ffmpeg / x264 / x265 handles multi-bitrate ladder generation. AV1 software encoding works on the high-core-count SKUs but is slower than dedicated hardware.
What about video-on-demand origin servers?
NVMe storage delivers the random-read profile VOD origin servers need. Pair with a CDN for global distribution, or serve directly from the box for niche libraries with long-tail viewership.
Is the bandwidth burstable or capped at the NIC speed?
You get the full 3, 5, or 10 Gbps line rate as advertised. There is no shaped throttle — only the monthly outbound cap. Inbound is unmetered.
What happens if I exceed the monthly bandwidth cap?
Overage is billed at €0.50/TB for most regions and €1.69/TB for Singapore. There's no service interruption — you keep streaming and the overage shows up on the next invoice.
